MacWarehouse Customer Support, or
Do you cringe when something goes wrong?

Something quite remarkable happened to me recently and I had to share.

Have you ever ordered something by mail order, and the item either arrived broken, or the wrong item was shipped, or something else was amiss? No, well this article's not for you. Click on the back button in your browser to leave this page immediately.

For the rest of you, here's what happened to me. I ordered a Christmas present for my spouse recently, along with some other items, from MacWarehouse. This shipment was delivered on a Saturday afternoon, and all arrived BUT the key reason for the shipment, the gift. That's not all that unusual, but there's usually a notice of a separate shipment to follow with the unfilled items.

In this case, however, the shipping receipt said that the missing item was in the box... It wasn't.

I immediately called MacWarehouse, and since their Customer Support people don't work on the weekend, I had to leave a message with the Sales people, who promised I'd get a call back on Monday.

I couldn't wait, however, so I fired up Claris Emailer and sent a message to their Customer Support office, outlining my concerns. After all, the shipping document stated that all had been shipped, and there was only my word against the Shipping personnel. I was alarmed, to say the least, since the item was QUITE expensive.

At the crack of dawn Monday, I called MacWarehouse and was put in contact with a friendly lady who never for a moment questioned the veracity of my claim. She said they'd send out the missing item THAT DAY and I could expect it tomorrow. Guess what? It arrived at 10 a.m. the next morning.

Now isn't it refreshing for someone to share GOOD news? Oh, by the way, I now heartily endorse buying from MacWarehouse, wouldn't you know?
