SAUG Wednesday February 28, 2007 Meeting

Filemaker Pro 8.5
The Database for Home and Business

Presented by Richard Rogers and Brian Currell of CornerStone Solutions

The meeting will begin with an introduction and overview of Filemaker Pro followed by a short and easy example of a basic database everyone can relate to. This program is very similar to the database in Appleworks so those of you who have this program on your Macs will find the presentation useful.

In addition to the ease of use of this database program, our presenters will go over the real and potential uses as a high-end database, including the ability to include photos or video, to get information from previous databases, and to script desired results.

Filemaker Pro is a very useful business tool and is cross-platform. Thus, though our meeting will be done on the Macintosh computer, the presentation and applications are applicable to the PC world.

Our presenters this evening will be Richard Rogers and Brian Currell of CornerStone Solutions. They create specialized databases using Filemaker Pro for their clients including the San Joaquin County Employees' Retirement Association.

NOTE: In addition to our presentation tonight we will be giving away demo copies and several full working copies of Filemaker Pro 8.5.
