iMovie & Final Cut Pro Workshop

Have you ever wondered how to use iMovie to create your own family productions and transfer them to a DVD? Here's your chance! Join us with Cyndy Green, who worked for Channel 13 before becoming a teacher, to see how it's done.

Of course, your first step is to get your video into your Mac and then use iMovie to edit your raw footage into a custom film. iMovie is a powerful, yet simple, iApp from Apple that makes this easy. After you've edited your video into a sequence that you like, you can simply insert music from your iTunes collection, and you're done. Then plug your Mac into your TV and the whole family can watch. Or, you can take it to the next step and use your SuperDrive equipped Mac to burn (transfer) your movie from the Mac to a DVD, with your own custom titles and index.

Directions: From March Lane and Pershing Ave:
Go North on Pershing Ave.
Take the first right turn (Burke-Bradley).
(This street runs between the shopping center and Delta College.)
Turn left into parking lot Holt 1 (H-1).
Make a sharp right into Holt 2 (H-2).
Obtain a parking permit from the ticket machine (bring two quarters).
(You may have to go back to H-1 to get the ticket.)
Park as close to the buildings as possible.
You will be entering Holt from the back of the building.

These workshops are designed to give individual help with using a variety of programs and are especially intended for beginners. Topics vary with the need of the participants. There are usually enough computers for hands-on instruction. Topics include the Macintosh system, internet access, and specific software.

Remember to bring disks if you want to copy Public Domain software or shareware.
