E-Trading: Fun, Functionality, and Fears


A discussion and demonstration led by Will Price, Professor, Eberhardt School of Business
University of the Pacific, and SAUG Treasurer

During this evening we will focus on these topics:

  • -Doing stock trading
  • -"E-trading" functionality
  • -Requirements to do "e-trading"
  • -"E-trading" demonstration, using the ETrade game (fun) (Handouts available)
  • -Hazards or fears of "e-trading"
  • -On balance, should we do "e-trading"? should we ETrade or consider competitors?

More About the Workshops

These workshops are designed to give individual help with using a variety of programs and are especially intended for beginners. Topics vary with the need of the participants. There are usually enough computers for hands-on instruction. Topics include the Macintosh system, internet access, and specific software.

Please call Connie at 474-8508 before the meeting if you are interested in old Macintosh and Apple II systems or software.


Remember to bring disks if you want to copy Public Domain software or shareware.
